Meng Eng Soo 名英祠

Meng Eng Soo is an ancestral hall that commemorates the earliest Chinese Society called Ghee Hin Kongsi, established in 1790. One of the Ghee Hin’s contributions towards the public in Penang was the donation of a piece of land for the Penang General Hospital as we seen today.

名英祠是一座纪念着义兴公司（天地会二房），也是洪门天地会在海外帮会领袖的古老祠堂。义兴公司于1790年在槟榔屿以公开合法身份正式成立。早期的义兴公司担起稳定社会的作用，并在1854年捐出地段，创建槟城第一家贫民医院（现为中央医院）。

Meng Eng Soo Open Day 名英祠开放日

Meng Eng Soo Open Day is held yearly on 7th July. The aim for this event is to introduce Meng Eng Soo, allowing people to understand Meng Eng Soo's history in different way. It is also the only day that the Meng Eng Soo building is opened to the public for visiting.

为让更多人了解名英祠，名英祠开放日会在每年的7月7日举办。

每一年的名英祠开放日会以不一样的主题或形式来介绍名英祠，让更多人了解名英祠的故事。

这一天也是唯一一天名英祠会开放给观众参观。
